These portraits explore Black feminine divinity as elemental force.
“Mother Nature” embodies earth — growth, rootedness, and regeneration. Her green hair flows like vines and water, symbolizing life that renews itself endlessly. She is calm, observant, and eternal.
“Mami Wata” represents the sacred waters — mystery, intuition, and ancestral memory. Adorned in gold, she reflects royalty and spiritual power. Her gaze holds both protection and depth, reminding us that water nurtures but also commands respect.
Together, they reflect the balance of earth and water, grounding and flow, body and spirit.
Through layered tones and symbolic color, this work honors Black women as divine forces — not metaphors, but living embodiments of creation.
